The North Country Food Co-op is a member of our community and as such we are proud to put people before profits, and hold the ideal of a sustainable world as our vision. We are committed to putting this vision into practice. As a cooperative we adhere to the Seven Cooperative Principles which includes principle 7: Concern for Community. This leads to our unwavering dedication to the sustainable development of our local economy.
It is with this thought and principle in mind that the North Country Food Co-op decided to sponsor and participate in this wonderful event, Downtown Rising. Every Friday in the months of June, July and August during the hours of 4pm-7pm, there will be a big tent located at Trinity Park in downtown Plattsburgh where members and visitors to our community will be able to find remarkable products and entertainment. We invite you to come and explore what our local producers, farmers, musicians and artisans have created and can offer. More than this however, we invite you to come and interact with your neighbors, friends, and experience downtown Plattsburgh and your community.
In addition to supporting the admirable efforts of Downtown Rising through our sponsorship and participation, we support many of the featured vendors by carrying their goods in the store such as Oregano Flats, Juniper Hill Farm, North Country Creamery, Reber Rock Farm, and Fledging Crow Farm. As you sample their products, know that you can purchase them at your downtown Co-op.
